1999 Volvo V70R AWD

90's Q-car; 250bhp 2.3 turbo-charged 5 pot; loved by Police & enthusiasts alike; manual transmission; navigation; half-leather and suede electric seats

Supplied new by Volvo Car Uk Ltd of Oxon in october 1997 and finished in epic Saffron gold, the launch colour for this R model and its C70 coupe sibling sat on smart grey 5-spoke alloy wheels shod with premium tyres and grey half leather, half suede with diamond stitch pattern the car looks very much the 90's Q-car it was, oozing quiet, cool, purpose.

This example features the rarer option of 5-speed manual transmission mated to Haldex all-wheel drive and has covered just 101,500 miles from new.  Inside we see electric heated seats, on-board computer, premium sound system and also, expensive optiuonal extra at the time, electric pop-up navigation screen with in car remote control, sunroof and dual zone climate control with AC.

Our vendor has enjoyed the car for the past year but has decided lack of use through the latter part of this year means its time to go to a new home.  Within the history file we find a V5C, owner's pack with service book showing 12 stamps, the last stamp at 95,901 miles in August 2019 by Lapworth Garage of Solihul and a selection of invoices, photos and old MOTs.

Invoices on file show the car was treated to a general check-over and replacement antiroll bar link, greasing of the brake pipes and top up of the transfer box oil in October 2019 at a cost of £180, plus supporting invoice for the last stamped service costing £446, Goodyear tyres in April 2019 and an assortment of older service and parts invoices dating back to year 2000.

With respect to MOT's we see 6 old certificates and the current, clean MOT running until June 2021.  The vendor has advised us on delivery he noticed a noise which sounded akin to a wheel bearing/prop shaft bearing - the car being 23 years old and having covered 101,500 miles its not a surprise.

A very cool, rare and iconic shape car with the kudos of being a collectible and retro R model - we love it, especially in Saffron, and interior is such a comfortable place to be with capacious boot.
