1972 Land Rover Series III

Patinated, time worn SIII 88" with 2.25 petrol power from long term 21 year ownership; eminently usable

Dating from April 1972 this eminently usable and wodnerfully patinated Series III features the venerable 2.2 petrol four cylinder with manual box and no O/D.  It comes to us from 21 year ownership and shows just 56,000 miles which looks like it could be genuine glancing at the 8 old MOTs on file and talking to the vendor, but we'll let you make your own minds up.

Looking to be in solid order underneath (see images), the last MOT which expired in April 2019 had only four advisories relating to two worn tyres and tired leaf springs. The vendor has thrown a pair of good tyres in the back for the next owner to attend to the tyre advisory.

Starting and running well as we moved it around for these shots it represents a very usable Series truck, and with its removable hard top, as seen in the last two pictures it can look very different and somehow even cooler (in all respects!).  The history file includes just the V5C and 8 old MOTs.
