Countless invoices fill the file for this 1980s wedge, the most recent relating to the period 2002 to 2007 which total some £3,000. Unfortunately, very little has been done to it since, the last MOT being recorded in 2008.

Originally registered in 1981 on Jersey, its second owner moved to the UK mainland with the car in 1985. Six keepers and an unknown number of miles later (showing 28,500, but assuming to have had a speedo change or meaning 128,500 miles), it is clear the car was once enjoyed and used regularly but it is now offered as a restoration or investment project. Our vendor was hoping to do this himself but since acquiring it, has simply not had the time.

Under the dust and grime the dark green paintwork would probably benefit from a respray. There are scratches here and there and an element of corrosion which, although expected, will need attending to at one point. The hood is also in need of attention.

Prices of TR7s have shown improvement over the last year or so, so perhaps their time is about to come. Offered here with no reserve, the highest bidder will be the successful buyer and will have a great project on their hands – the parts being affordable and the mechanics being pretty straight forward.
