Description
2003 Porsche 911 Turbo (996)
Desirable variant
with factory Aero kit, embossed seats; auto/tip 'box with rare steering
wheel mounted paddles; subject to Porsche's '09991' bespoke programe and showing
just 60,400 miles
Supplied new in April 2003 by
Rivervale Porsche of Brighton, this attractive 996 series 911 Turbo features the
extremely potent water-cooled 3.6 litre flat-six twin turbocharged and
inter-cooled engine, developing in standard form 414bhp and 563Nm of torque.
Performance is phenomenal as you may imagine, particularly given the Turbo’s are
all-wheel drive with 60mph hit in just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 190mph.
This smart example is finished in Basalt Black (LC9Z) with matching
black interior (AH) and features a well optioned specification including the
desirable factory turbo aero kit (XAF), Alu-look dashboard trim strip (XCA),
Alu-look instrument surround (XCB), alu-look side air vents (XCC), alu-look
centre air vent (XCD), Porsche crest embossed headrests (XSC), alu-look door
panel parts (XTR), leather covered ignition block surround (XJ4), leather
defroster trim (XV1), leather edged floor mats with Porsche script (XX1),
aluminium tiptronic gear lever (X46), stainless steel tailpipes (X54), stainless
door guards with Porsche script (X70), alu-look instrument faces
(X71).
This example’s spec also includes the option ‘09991’ which means
the car came off the production line for the ‘Sonderwunsch Programm’, now called
‘Exclusive’ for some bespoke touches – usually relating to interior trim, but
here it looks to be fitment of paddles to the steering wheel for paddle gear
changes – not usually found on the 996 – the tiptronic control is usually button
controlled from the face of the steering wheel – this car has one paddle on each
side – unusual and highly desirable.
As a Turbo model, the spec also
included digital climate control with A/C, sunroof, Bose sound system, hollow
spoke lightweight alloy wheels, integrated navigation and stereo system, trip
computer, electric seats with driver’s memory, PSM (Porsche stability
management) to name but a few features. The rear seat squabs have been deleted
to save weight and give greater storage space.
The car has covered just
60,463 miles, which is low for this most usable of super cars and is backed up
by a stamped service book revealing 13 service stamps, 11 of which are Porsche
main agents, the other 2 by well known marque specialists. The last stamped
service was I November 2016 at 57,535 miles by Porsche of Portsmouth with a
further 7 stamps by Porsche dealers for brake fluid changes, the last also by
Porsche Portsmouth in 2018 at 58,285 miles and 4 further stamps for Long-life
guarantee condition reports plus 3 further stamps for airbag checks.
The
file also includes the owner’s pack with manuals, 2 keys, the V5C showing 6
former keepers, 1 old MOT and current MOT valid until November 2021 with no
advisories recorded.
An extremely fast and desirable car in the right
colour with extensive and unusual options fitted – driven some 100 miles to the
sale - one for the collector or Porsche fan for sure.
