1988 Land Rover 110
Tough as old boots
ex-Singapore Army 110; 2.5-litre normally aspirated engine; rock solid chassis;
tilt supplied; runs and drives; two new batteries just fitted; a very
sound truck which needs a bit of tidying; priced to sell; plus
VAT
This Land Rover has come in from the Singapore Military. It has
clearly led a life, but is fitted with the bomb-proof 2.5 normally aspirated
diesel engine which along with the rest of the vehicle will outlast its new
owner.
In remarkably solid condition underneath, we have just fitted two
new quality batteries and it has been running and driving around the site. The
engine appears to be a blue top unit which would suggest a rebuilt engine has
been fitted at some time. It runs nicely and fires up straight away. It could do
with a few cosmetic jobs and it has had the usual military paint job, but it has
the potential to turn into a really good truck with relative
ease.
Supplied with a NOVA number to show it has been correctly imported
and all duties paid, it will require UK registration in the usual way and
bidders are advised that VAT is payable on the hammer price on this
lot.
With chassis and bulkhead rot being Land Rover's principal enemies,
this hot-climate example looks to have many years of hard work left in
it.
